Maple Sugar Cookies
In one bowl, whisk to combine dry ingredients

In another bowl, beat to combine butter and brown sugar

Add egg and extracts, and beat again to combine

Add flour mixture ~ 1 cup at a time and beat to combine after each addition

You want a soft playdough consistency

Roll the dough to a uniform 1/4" thickness

Use cookie cutter of choice to cut out your shapes (ideally, a maple leaf shape!)

Bake at 350⁰F for 8 minutes

While the cookies cool, mix sifted powered sugar and maple syrup in a small bowl

Whisk until it's smooth and thick - but still easy to drizzle

Coat your cooled cookies with your maple icing
