Master Potter Teaches Pulling A Handle
Make a slab lug.

Trim and flatten the connection area.

Evaluate the shape for where the handle should go.

Use magic water and a serrated rib to scratch to attach the lug.

Use a hand inside the cup to support pressing on the lug.

Pulling the tapered shape. Work over a water bucket. Wear a wrist band to avoid drips down your arm.

Hold the cup up at eye level and evaluate the handle thickness. Look from multiple angles.

Adjusting as you go makes the mug look better. Use your fingers to make a texture on the handle.

Use your fingers to attach the base of the handle. She’s making it look really easy!!

Use a soft wet sponge to tidy up any tool marks or slip. Don’t use too much water.

Adjust the handle shape now that it is attached.
