Whisk together flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, spices and salt.

Stir together milk, pumpkin puree and egg.

Add butter cubes to flour mixture.

Rub or cut into flour, until pea-sized pieces.

Add pumpkin mixture to flour mixture and stir together.

Remove to parchment-lined baking sheet.

Pat into 7-8 inch round.

Cut into 8 wedges.

Separate the wedges and bake.

Meanwhile, combine cranberries, butter and icing sugar for cranberry butter.
