Quick & Easy Indian Butter Shrimp
Gather the ingredients.

Melt butter over medium heat.

Cook onion until softened.

Add spices (ginger, turmeric, cumin, paprika, coriander)

Cook spices with onion briefly.

Add tomato paste, curry paste, brown sugar, ginger and garlic.

Cook briefly with onion.

Add canned crushed tomatoes. Stir to combine and simmer a few minutes. You can purée at this point if you like.

Add frozen shrimp.

Allow shrimp to cook in simmering sauce, about 4-5 minutes for raw shrimp or a couple of minutes for cooked shrimp.

Add some fenugreek leaves (kasoori methi). Stir in well.

Add cream, coconut milk or yogurt.

Prepare some toppings - cilantro, cucumber, lime. And Naan, for dipping!
