Simply Delicious Vanilla Buttercream
Gather and weigh your ingredients. Butter should be at room temperature.

Start by beating the butter until pale and fluffy

Add the sifted icing sugar in 2 batches, mixing well between each addition. You want it creamy and fluffy

Add the vanilla extract into the milk, give it a quick stir, then add into the buttercream, beating on low until desired consistency.

Give it a final, gentle stir, by hand, to knock out any trapped any bubbles

This recipe is enough to layer and cover a 7 inch layer cake or 12 cupcakes. (depending on how much buttercream you like on your cake) 😊 Enjoy 🍰
