Southern Style Cabbage
What you'll need

Cabbage
3 slices
Smoked Hog Jowl
1/4 cup
Banana Pepper Rings
1 Tbsp Of Liquid Smoke
1 tsp
Bacon Drippings
1 tbsp
Salt
1 tsp
Black Pepper
1 tsp
Season Salt
1/2 stick
Butter
1 tbsps
White Vinegar
Start with 1 large cabbage or 2 small

In large pot, add 3 cups water, 3-4 slices smoked hog jowl or 1 ham smoked hock, banana peppers, liquid smoke, boil for 30 min.

In meantime, cut cabbage by slicing layers then chopping into small pieces. Cut and wash cabbage then drain.

Add cabbage to boiling water

Add butter and all seasonings

Add vinegar, boil on med-high until desired tenderness, about 30 min.

Cabbage should be tender but not soggy. Taste and add additional seasoning, vinegar, pepper sauce, or hot sauce as desired.

Remember cabbage will continue steaming once it is turned off, so keep a check on tenderness
