The Perfect Montana Scenic Drive From Bozeman
This scenic drive starts in Bozeman, MT. Check out this jump rope for what to do in Bozeman!
The first leg of this drive will be to head south on highway 191 from Bozeman
You’ll enter the mountains and when the river runs along the road, you’ll be in Gallatin Canyon
There are a bunch of pull over spots to stop at and enjoy the canyon
Along the way, you can stop in Big Sky for a few hours or even over night to ski, snowmobile, etc.
You’ll then head further south to your next stop: Hebgen Lake!
I recommend pulling off into the day use area to eat lunch. We like using this camp stove to cook
have a beverage or two (if you’re not driving)! These mini champagne bottles are perfect
We spent about 2 hours just at this lake! You can even bring a kayak or canoe to put in the water
Next, you’ll drive just a bit further to Earthquake Lake and pull over to read about its history
You’ll start driving North again on highway 287 to the town of Ennis where you can shop or eat
The next small town you’ll come to is Norris which is very similar to Ennis
You can stop at Norris Hot Springs for a soak in natural hot spring water
After Norris, you’ll turn right onto Highway 87 and head back to Bozeman!
