True Bias Hudson Pants | Shorts Hack Tutorial
True Bias Hudson Pants Sewing Pattern
Starting with the front leg, mark the bottom edge of the pocket facing on your pattern.
Mark the desired length of your shorts to include the hem. I opted for 10” length with a 1/2” hem.
Draw a straight line perpendicular to the grain line at your length mark.
Cut pattern or trace and create a new pattern piece. Transfer all pattern marks and notches.
Align the front pattern piece to the back leg piece along the side seam. Match the notches.
Mark the bottom edge of your front piece and draw a straight line perpendicular to the grain line.
Repeat step 4 to create your back pattern piece.
Continue to sew following the pattern instructions. Once legs are sewn together, hem your shorts.
Congrats! Your Hudson Shorts are finished and ready to wear!
