Watercolor Tumbler Tutorial
First, coat your cup with TWO coats of spray paint. I used Ultra Matte White from Rustoleum.
Use your choice of alcohol inks. I decided to spritz with rubbing alcohol to help spread ink easier.
Rubbing and blotting, continue to cover the cup with your colors. Different techniques = texture.
Continue adding colors and blending them to your liking. Layering colors is the name of the game.
Soften all the hard lines and don’t forget the bottom of the cup like I almost did😉
Spritz with 90% rubbing alcohol to add another layer of texture.
Using a tissue, put another layer of color. Spritz again with rubbing alcohol & continue to blend.
Saturate a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol and blot cup. Twist and pat to get desired effect.
Krylon Kamar Varnish seals alcohol ink w/o changing colors. THREE coats! Then let dry. WEAR A MASK!
Time for epoxy! I use Fast Set Ultra Clear from CCDIY. And I chose a color dust to add a little pop!
It is “Ethereal dust- Dreamy” from Solar Color Dust. It’s so pretty in the sun. Add & Mix well.
Apply epoxy evenly. I did a total of 2 coats. Let cure and you’re done! 🥳
I hope you love it and hope even more that this tutorial helped! Have fun creating!🎨
