What to See in Iceland
We’re Rachel & Tiernan! (Don’t click away, we’re cool, I promise)
1
We want to take you to Iceland with us.
2
Make your way from Keflavík airport to Reykjavik
3
The modern cathedral Hallgrimskirkja dominates the skyline.
4
This is the Sun Voyager. Sculpted out of steel.
5
Höfði House is where the US met the Soviet Union to end the Cold War.
6
You may have heard of the Blue Lagoon.
7
This geothermal spa is actually man made.
8
Seljalandsfoss waterfall is completely accessible.
9
Now you can finally visit the back side of water!
10
If you’re visiting in winter, remember the sun sets very early.
11
Musée de Skógar is a folk museum.
12
These turf rooved houses are really well insulated.
13
And happen to be right next to Skógafoss waterfall.
14
The drop is 60 meters!
15
When you visit in winter, definitely pack a big hidden coat!
16
Snow falling on the black sand beaches like Vik is bizzare (but cool).
17
The sand comes from volcanic basalt lava.
18
And the snow... comes from the sky.
19
These basalt columns are at Reynisfara beach.
21
The waves and tide are powerful. You should stay away from the water.
22
Instead, visit an Icelandic horse.
23
The horses run so smoothly, you don’t need to put down your pint.
24
They’re also super sweet.
25
Gullfoss is the golden waterfall. The most popular with visitors.
26
It’s part of the Golden Circle, like this geyser (called Geysir).
27
On they way back to Reykjavik, visit the Viking parliament at Thingvellir.
28
And if you’re lucky, you may get to spot the Northern Lights.
29
Thank you for joining our trip to Iceland.
