Winter Wyoming Road Trip Through 2 USA National Parks
Start at Yellowstone National Park. If you’re driving, I recommend going in through the north entrance. If you’re flying, fly into Bozeman airport.
1
Most of Yellowstone is closed in the winter, but one thing you can see is Mammoth Hot Springs! It’s about a 5 minute drive from the North Entrance
2
If you’re feeling adventurous, you can see more of Yellowstone by booking a snowmobile or snow coach tour! Check the YSNP website for tour groups!
3
Next, you’ll drive down to Jackson Hole (aka Jackson, Wyoming) for the second half of this road trip
4
I’d spend a day exploring the town of Jackson. There are so many cute boutique stores to stop in!
5
The next day, drive about 20 minutes from Jackson Hole to Grand Teton National Park
6
Like Yellowstone, a lot of the park is closed, but there are still some parts you can see and the views are amazing
7
One spot to check out is Mormon Row where the famous Moulton Barn is. This is an old barn with the Teton Mountain Range in the background
8
I’d also recommend driving down Teton Park Road. It’s only open for a couple miles, but you get THIS view!
9
Last step is to drive back home or back to the Bozeman airport! Road trips in winter in this area are a MUST. This is the view nearly the whole time!
